Florida State Wins Defensive Struggle With Texas A&M

In this 7-10 matchup in the Southwest region, the Florida State Seminoles won their first NCAA Tournament in 13 years as they were the victor in a grinder with the Aggies of Texas A&M in Chicago, 57-50. Two of the better defenses in the nation were showcased today at United Center but the 'Noles were fantastic defensively, as they blocked 11 shots and helf the Aggies to 31.4% shooting. FSU will take on Notre Dame, who ran away from Akron earlier today, on Sunday for the chance to move on to San Antonio and the Sweet Sixteen (round 3 television schedule).
Spero Dedes and Bob Wenzel recap the game.
