Butler Knocks Off Old Dominion At The Buzzer, Moves On To 3rd Round

In a hectic last couple of seconds in Washington, D.C., the Butler Bulldogs, the 8 seed in the Southeast, defeated the Old Dominion Monarchs, the 9 seed, on a Matt Howard tip-in at the buzzer, 60-58. It was a thriller throughout the afternoon at Verizon Center with 21 lead changes and no team leading more than 6 points at any point during the game. The Bulldogs have now won 10 straight games and they will face the winner of Pittsburgh and UNC-Asheville on Saturday (round 3 TV schedule).
Tim Brando and Mike Gminski have the recap.
