Arizona Holds Off Texas To Advance To Sweet Sixteen

It was an exciting finish in this 3rd round matchup out of the West region between the fifth seed Arizona Wildcats and the fourth seeded Texas Longhorns. The Wildcats led throughout but the Longhorns took a two point lead with seconds left. After Derrick Williams misfired on a threeball, the Longhorns were called on a five second violation which gave Arizona hope. Williams then made a shot despite being fouled and he made the free throw for the win, 70-69. The Wildcats will now take on the Duke Blue Devils, who survived Michigan earlier today, in the Sweet Sixteen out in Anaheim.
