2022 World Cup In Qatar? Really?

Never mind the fact that during the traditional time the World Cup is held, Qatar's average temperature is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Never mind the fact that Qatar is in a notably politically unstable region and has had a coup as recently as 1995 and a foiled plot in 2002. Never mind the fact that they allied with Saudi Arabia. Never mind the fact that women are still subject to routine sexual discrimination and that homosexuality is punishable by up to a five year prison sentence. Or the fact that Qatar has no soccer tradition And Qatar definitely did not pay off FIFA.
But hey, at least that island stadium looks awesome.
