The San Francisco Giants Are Going To The World Series For The First Time Since 2002

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- San Francisco's in for a treat. The Giants are heading to the World Series.
Juan Uribe hit a tiebreaking homer off Ryan Madson with two outs in the eighth inning and the Giants held off the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 Saturday night in Game 6 of the NL championship series.
Surprise star Cody Ross and the pitching-rich Giants reached the World Series for the first time since 2002 and will host the Texas Rangers in Game 1 on Wednesday night. The Giants have never won the championship since moving to San Francisco in 1958.

Cameron Newton Continues Push For The Heisman, Leads Auburn Over LSU 24-17

Cameron Newton ran for 217 yards against one of the elite defenses in college football and now he and the Auburn Tigers are the last unbeaten team in the SEC after defeating LSU 24-17 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Texas Rangers Are Headed To Their First World Series

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Their Texas-sized wait is over. The Rangers are going to the World Series.
And they got there with a win over their old nemesis, the defending champion New York Yankees.
Vladimir Guerrero drove in three runs before Nelson Cruz hit a towering, two-run homer and the Rangers beat New York 6-1 Friday night in Game 6 of the AL championship series, the biggest victory in the franchise's 50 seasons.

Gus Johnson Will No Longer Do Knicks Radio

Gus Johnson is out as the radio play-by-play announcer for the New York Knicks. He had called games on Knicks radio and backup television play-by-play since 1994. And it was not due to Al Harrington leaving the team for the Denver Nuggets.

NFL Week 7 Picks

Brett Favre is making another return to Lambeau Field. And we all know what happened last time he returned to Lambeau. Will he defeat Aaron Rodgers again or will the reeling Packers get a much needed victory. That game will be on Sunday Night Football. College Football Week 8 Picks

For the very first time, College Gameday will be in Colombia, Missouri at Faurot Field as the Missouri Tigers, ranked 18 and undefeated, will host the #3 Oklahoma Sooners, who are currently on top of the BCS standings. Will the Tigers break through to the elite of the Big XII with a victory at home or will the Sooners prevail and march on as one of the top ranked teams in the nation? My predictions are next.

Week 6 Monday Night Football Preview: Titans vs. Jaguars
